In English Literature, there are so many courses that you will find and learn. Most of all courses are different in name, but basically same because its focus on 4 skill. Those skill are speaking, writing, reading, and listening. You will find many kind of speaking courses but it still focus on develop your speaking skill.
Drama is one of courses in English Literature, and Drama 2 is the continue course (mata kuliah lanjutan lol) for students who choose to majoring in literature. In Drama 1 class, students will get the basics info and lesson about drama. At the end of the semester, lecturer will ask students to make group of some people to perform drama. That drama will be record and then submit as final assignment of Drama 1 class. Drama 2 class more interesting because in the end of the semester, lecturer will ask all students in the class to perform a role play drama as 1 group. 1 class 1 Drama 2 group. It is not easy as in Drama 1 because students will handle all requirement to perform that role-play. 1 class will need director, scriptwritter, make-up artist, actor & actrist, lightning man, sound man, property, and many more. It is more complicated than Drama 1 but more interesting for me. All students in the class will get job desk (kerjaan/posisi) to support the role-play.
This video teaser present my Drama 2 class. My lecturer was Mr. Fredy Nugroho. Our class present a role-play drama entitled PADRE. A modification role-play drama that inspired by A Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. Our class also instructed by Mas Rella Coverries (asisten dosen kelas drama 2). He help us to practice and guide our class to make a great performance. This teaser portrays about all our preparation before the day of performance and also a few scenes from our role-play.
It was a great performace from our class. It make me so proud. A good team work from all students in our class. I can say my class success to bring the audience fall in to the story (maksudnya ceritanya ngena' banget gitu buat penontonnya haha). Below I give some picture from my class performance. Enjoy!
